I have so many things to share & so little time!
I wanted to show some of the little works of art I've created using the cake pop machine.
I hope you all enjoyed eating the yummy goodies I've made!
I made these for a Hawaiian Luau themed party. The cake inside was a buttermilk recipe and they were the most delicious I think I've ever made! They were so moist people actually thought they had been made the old crumble, roll & add frosting method! But they weren't ~ I used the babycakes machine. I TOLD YA I was addicted to this thing!
and the little skull patch looking pops were a 1st attempt at making Jack Skullington pops. They didn't turn out quite as I'd planned, actually I hadn't planned to make them this way at all! I told you I'd share the good, the bad AND the ugly & that means the occasional FAILS I experience. I was decorating another cake pops theme I was using a squeeze bottle to design the facial features. I had to reheat the chocolate after the tip became clogged. As I applied more pressure it exploded out and created the eyes you see, and I just went with it because it reminded me of the Jack Skullington figure from the Nightmare before Christmas. I didn't have a photo handy to use as a reference so I admit the mouth didn't turn out quite right but I'll try it again next year. I still think they were cute!
These were fun to make! They were the most popular Halloween Themed pops I'd made this year.
Mummies! I must have made. oh I don't know... literally over 120 MUMMIES this Halloween season!
The town we live in shuts the streets downtown off to traffic so the trick o treaters can walk freely & safely from store to store collecting their candy loot. I, being the silly goober I am, decided to dress for the occasion and because I ALWAYS see friends who accompany their young children for the downtown fun, I'd distribute some hand baked cake pops! It was a HUGE success & I really had fun sharing the mummy pops. I was red riding hood and this is the basket of goodies I carried.
I didn't have many left so I think that's a good gauge of how things went! I plan on repeating this and making it my new Halloween tradition. You don't need to have young children to enjoy Halloween fun!
What little boy wouldn't LOVE to have pirates pops! These were created for a friend's little boy's Pirate themed party! Ayyye matey! Chocolate cake balls dipped in white chocolate and then hand decorated, they were probably the most labor intense pops but SO worth the effort. My friend created her own display with her preschool aged children so they would have some fun memories to share. I like her idea of the pirate ship so much I'd definitely create one myself for future pirate parties!
These are the Floral arrangements I make using the silk flowers on the cake pops sticks. They are SO beautiful in person! The cake was chocolate covered in milk chocolate and assorted sprinkles. I did eight arrangements using this design! I think they are my new fall favorite!
& the Purple flowers are also another favorite. They were SO vibrant! Created for a friend's daughter who had a Diva themed girl's only party. These were a chocolate buttermilk recipe from the Babycakes recipe booklet & OMG SO good & SO moist!
The tiered cake pop display below was created for another friend. She wanted a TALL display and she & I shopped together to hand pick the boxes and ribbons and accessories. It was so pretty when it was done! The cake pops were dipped in assorted colors to match the display colors. I even added a few blue pops to ensure any boys who attended the party didn't have to be seen eating pink cake pops. I didn't need to worry about it after all, because it turned out, the DAD'S ended up eating most of the cake pops ~ no matter WHAT the color was! These were a HUGE success! I was a little concerned about how TAALLLL it would be considering it was for a toddler! It turns out I liked the way it turned out, and it can be used to store her hair ribbons and other little Princess treasures because I didn't permanently adhere the box tops. It matches her Princess themed bedroom perfectly.
